This is a plastic model assembly kit of the British Chieftain, a main battle tank that began mass production in 1963 and was said to be the most powerful in the world at the time. Of the many types of Chieftains produced, this model is of the final production model, the Mk.5, which appeared in 1970. The massive style is realistically reproduced, and the large caliber 120mm gun looks impressive even in the model. The complex suspension, armor plating, and heat shield for the main gun are all precisely detailed. All hatches are movable and the side skirts can be removed. Includes 3 torso figures of tank crew members.
